Not sure if anyone has come up with a answer to this but, everyone i spoke to couldn't solve it many people have hit this problem leaving phosphates high. I will share the only way i know to overcome it, I started dosing red sea reef energy part A & B. This made my nitrates higher without affecting phosphates. Now i have successfully dropped my phosphates with this method, if anyone could shed some light on a method they use please do.

I have not experienced this except with the UAS scrubber on my 150G only so I built and installed the tried and true water fall version last 8 Days ago. I also had an issue with not being able to get the nitrate under 20-30 as well. I grew algae by the hand fulls in a weeks time but to no success. I gave it several months but have Kicked the UAS to the side on my 150G. Now my 10G is a different story, its great with a UAS and nothing is limited.

Thats interesting im using floyds l2 and as soon as my screen growth went green my nitrates dropped to undetectable by salifert kit & i feed alot. My problem was the live rock it leeched phos for months.

I was running an L2 on the dentist's office tank for several months and before than a larger scrubber and could not maintain P < 0.06. After recently changing to a higher flow pump, my P is < 0.02 and N < 0.2.

Flow can make a big difference, so if you have a mature screen, up the flow a little bit (if you can), week by week, and see if there is an effect.

I have thought about this to. I purposely built this 150G screen skinny as my 40G is wide. I wondered if flow or turn over had any effect and figured it was feasible. I will be able to have a pretty good test base as both scrubbers are pretty close and I treat the tanks about the same proportionally.

My phos was up until my screen seeded right. Past 2 months its been reading 0. Just tested today and it's still 0. Get good fast flow over my screen and haven't had any issues.

Was your nitrate at zero when your phos dropped floyd? I remember chatting with you about this before but some people seem to dismiss it :)

Well, my Nitrate seems to hang out near 0.0-0.2 on Salifert, never more than 0.5 though, and usually barely detectable. With the old, large scrubber is was always 0.00 and P was always 0.09-0.16.

I think it was because my rocks were leaching but my phos was always high i hope they will stay in tune now like yours. Hopefully what worked for me might help someone if they face it.

Ps. Android browser and tapatalk works perfect so far.

With Floyds scrubber you should be doing fine once it gets growing some green. Those LED's seem so make all the bad stuff go away.

Crashmushroom was one of my first international customers (back in June) and I believe still holds the record for fastest-to-green I have ever seen. Here are pics he sent me of day 10 and day 11 on his scrubber, from a bare screen:
