If you use Gmail, please read and follow this guide! Gmail (along with several other email providers) use aggressive anti-spam tools to help protect you. Unfortunately, some of the "rules" that these tools use quite often treat most forum-generated emails as junk. In order to ensure that you receive the e-mail alerts from the forum for things like replies to threads you are watching, conversation messages (PMs), mentions, and especially the initial account confirmation email, I strongly suggest that you add the forum URL to your Safe Senders list. Here is a step-by-step guide: 1) Log into your e-mail account online 2) If you have already registered, you might see the Confirmation e-mail in the Spam folder. Even if you don't, follow all these steps! There is a reason! 3) Click on the folder that contains the message 4) Hover your mouse over the Sender name until the overlay window pops up, then click Add to Contacts OR: click on the message then hover over the Sender name until the overlay window pops up, then click Add to Contacts You'll get this confirmation: All messages from the site will now go directly to your inbox! It's important to note that only marking a message that is in the Junk folder as "not junk" does not automatically "whitelist" anything, or add the address to your contacts - thus, it does not guarantee that future messages from the forum will not be treated as junk. You have to Add to Contacts This process above should capture all messages, but it only catches one specific email address. You can create a filter that prevents all email from a domain (or keyword) from going to Spam. 1) Hover over the Setings wheel and select Setings 2) Click Filters and Blocked Addresses, then click Create a new filter 3) enter algaescrubbing in the From field and click Create filter with this search 4) check Never send it to Spam and click Create filter Tip: Do this for turbosaquatics also, as well as any other forum you are registered on! **Note** If you add this for turbosaquatics, make sure that you enter only "turbosaquatics" - leave off the "www" and the ".com", you don't need those. Also make sure you didn't leave of either "s"!! Thanks! Bud (Turbo)
