Look at these two photos This is part of what will be my quarantine, the detail is that I get chaeto algae and had nowhere to put it, place it there with some rocks and I put a makeshift lamp What is interesting here is where they see this as a black spot in the picture is actually green alga, ie this grew below where it gives a strong flow and very low light, grew nothing which gives lots of light but little flow I know I have given several times, but for me it's interesting how you can use this unexpected result, I thought the thing flow and the light was more even, but I do not Well just wanted to share this experience and see if we can take advantage regards
My take on that is that you need both flow and light for optimal growth. But the truth is that you need very little light to get any growth. So under the pipe, you have a lot of flow and enough light to support growth. Everywhere else you have lots of light and very little flow (at least, not localized rapid flow like you do in a scrubber
Correct turbo and Ricky,,, it's interesting because on this basis can work a little harder and establish improvements or even more simple configurations regards
