Decided to take a stab at making my own scrubber on a budget. About a week's to a week and a half growth on my diy algae scrubber after break in time. Screen is 7inx8in. All together about $75 for a one-side lit algae scrubber. Add another $35 if you want it lit on both sides. Just add your pump. Looks great! You'll eventually have leakage along the pipe through the u-shaped cutouts as the algae grows up along the slot so watch out for that. You could also get enough growth to start blocking the bulkhead but you should be able to see that coming if you pay attention
