If you use Yahoo e-mail, please read and follow this guide!

Yahoo (along with several other email providers) use aggressive anti-spam tools to help protect you. Unfortunately, some of the "rules" that these tools use quite often treat most forum-generated emails as junk.

In order to ensure that you receive the e-mail alerts from the forum for things like replies to threads you are watching, conversation messages (PMs), mentions, and especially the initial account confirmation email, I strongly suggest that you add the forum URL to your Safe Senders list. Here is a step-by-step guide:

    1) Log into your e-mail account online

    2) If you have already registered, you might see the Confirmation e-mail in the junk folder. Even if you don't, follow all these steps! There is a reason!

    3) find the Help wheel in the upper right corner of the window. Hover/click on that, and select Settings

    4) Locate and click Filters then click the Add button

    5) Enter a name for the filter, then under From leave the drop-down as contains, and enter "algaescrubbing" in the condition box as shown below. Make sure Inbox is selected for the filter destination at the bottom, and click the Save button.

    6) Your filter has now been created! Click Save to finish.

That's it! All messages from the site will now go directly to your inbox!

It's important to note that only marking a message that is in the Junk folder as "not junk" does not automatically "whitelist" anything, or create a filter - thus, it does not guarantee that future messages from the forum will not be treated as junk.

Tip: Do this for turbosaquatics also, as well as any other forum you are registered on!

    **Note**
If you add this for turbosaquatics, make sure that you enter only "turbosaquatics" - leave off the "www" and the ".com", you don't need those. Also make sure you didn't leave of either "s"!!

    Thanks!

Thanks Bud.... wondering why couple of emails from algaescrubbing.com ended up in junk and couldn't find any rules I setup to move it.

Yeah it's the battle against spammers, it's getting really bad especially in the last year or two. I even have personal emails from a completely separate account that I send to my soccer team parents that go to junk and I have to walk them through this. It's not just the forums but they do get hit hard due to HTML formatted emails and links.
