    What are your nutrient levels at now?
    I've had the same kind of problem: bottomed out nutrients and still algae.
    @sempsis101 so does alk affect algae growth?

    I try to keep nitrate around 0.2 -0.5 ppm and phosphate around 0.02- 0.03 ppm. I personaly don't think alkalinity levels affect algae growth
