Well there's about 100 on the L2 list, ~60 on the L4/8/larger list, and about 90 that hadn't specified. Some crossover.

The plan is to have the prototype parts in hand by the middle to end of March and production parts in hand by the beginning to middle of April. Having gone through the design/mold/prototype/production phases once already though, this may go a bit faster the 2nd time around (that is my hope)

Actually I have you down as having the Rev 3 L2 (with the enclosed slot pipe), I can add you to the list for the Rev 4, no problem! Good to hear from you by the way!

My Dad worked for IBM for 35 years, and he instilled in me the mindset that the customer is always right, even when they are wrong, and that customer support makes all the difference. I can't claim to be perfect, but I strive for it. Thanks for the kind words @Wally.B!

Would a L4 fit well with a medium stocked 180 gallon? If so, put me down for one please

Fresh water rules here but I make do. I'm US military stationed here but I feel I should still count as your first here.

Hey Bud, not sure what the current pricing is since I missed the introductory pricing cutoff, but I'm interested in the L4. Please put me down for one.

Also, you recommend 35gph per inch flow... So roughly 400gph for the L4?? What pump do you offer in this gph range? I think my spare sicce 2500 (700gph) may be overkill.

    Thanks!

I cut the guaranteed "intro" price off as of 2/1, but that doesn't mean I won't still give it to you - for the L2, I will probably run out the first 100 at that price. For the L4, I have yet to decide how many I will do on the first run so there's a good chance you'll get the intro price on that as well. I'll put you on the list @jon99!

Just an update, it's not often that I get a whole weekend to work by myself in the garage, so I while I did get a ton accomplished, it still wasn't as much as I had hoped. The devil is in the details, and I'm highly detailed. Does that make me my own devil? Anyways, I'm exhausted but before I crash out I wanted to post from progress pics

    Heat sinks drilled & tapped

Example of mounted LED boards and driver for the L2 (there will be 2 sets like this for the L4)

Yes I measured and labelled template wires and sleeves...devil

One of the very few main body assembly steps - bonding in the J channels (forms a rail for the light fixtures)
Also you can see a stack of slot pipes which were drilled for the screen pin

    Cured Mortar Screens soaking
    [IMG]

While we're on the mortar screens I had a little fun with this toy I got the kids a few years back, it's a digital microscope
    [IMG]

I had to adjust brightness and contrast of the zoomed in pics, this thing is not a laboratory microscope ya know

Here is a plain screen (phone + 100x)

    Roughed up

    With fresh mortar coating
    [IMG]

Mortar after 2-3 days curing in ziplock, patted dry so you can see the rough texture

    200x
    [IMG]

Now that's what I call microscopically rough. It's no wonder this type of screen grows algae lickety split.
