A lot of questions here, let me see what I do to answer them while having a bit of insomnia

You can direct-feed a scrubber using the drain plumbing directly from the tank overflow, but it's always a good idea to have an alternate path. One method for this is described in the Basics under Resources Clog Prevention

As far as variable flow, I don't think this would be an issue at all. The "ideal" flow range is 35 GPH per in of screen width, but in reality, you can get away with a lot less, perhaps as low as 25 or even 20 GPH/in, but when you get that low, you might start seeing the effects of over-lighting (bare spots on the screen)

Confirmed! Bad idea! I made it 15 months with my ATS hanging down into my sump but in the end Murphy always gets ya and you end up with rusty looking fried LED boards and no ATS!

Hey Turbo can I use a uv sterilizer in conjunction with the scrubber or does this make a conflict?

A UV sterilizer has little effect on an algae scrubber, IMO

UPDATE: Wait list date cutoff for Introductory Pricing Guarantee on the L2 is MIDNIGHT US CENTRAL TIME, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 5th! Post in this thread or message me prior to this to guarantee yourself the introductory price for the L2. L4 and L8 Introductory Price wait list will continue until at least mid-March.

Are you getting them in soon?

Yes I am! They were actually supposed to be here Friday/Monday but they had a hold-up of some kind with getting the false bottoms extruded, ironically the simplest part, and they decided to wait and ship everything all at the same time. So now it's due to arrive next Friday or Monday (2/15)

Oh well, that gives me more time to make screens and build light fixtures. I'm also getting my CNC hopefully this coming Monday, which will be great because I wasn't looking forward to drilling 200 heat sinks for this first batch.

I would like to be on the list to purchase the L2. Where can I go for the best instructions on where to place /ideal flow/how often to clean etc?

I'll be developing these as soon as possible
Yes, the cutoff is Friday for the introductory price. I will start shipping the week of the 15th. The first batch is 100 units, the list is well beyond that but some will wait for the larger units, and some will probably pass by the time their turn is up...but we'll see!

The second batch ETA will depend on how fast the first batch is flying out the door....

I'm re-compiling it right now. I"m going to either post it on here, or on www.turbosaquatics.com once I go live with the website and release the re-direct...trying to get it done by tomorrow

Well, it took me a while - had to go through tons of emails, multiple threads, PM inboxes, etc...just to make sure I had everyone covered. The list (for L2, L4, L8, and larger) is over 250. That does include a few people who didn't overtly request to be on the list, so that will thin down a bit. I've started contacting people from the top down for the L2 rollout!
