Hey guys, So we have been discussing for a while how getting light to the roots is beneficial. Gary has tested cleaning one side at a tine and seems to work pretty well. Check out this pic: I did not clean the edge of that glass. I have a bare bottom with the stand painted white. The algae thrived where the reflection was, but almost non existent on the silicone. Is this evidence that the roots need light? Or that algae doesn't grow on silicone?
